1. Purpose

This procedure defines how competence (education, training, skills, and experience) is documented, maintained, and demonstrated. It satisfies ISO 9001:2015 clause 7.2 (Competence) and DNV-ST-0035 requirements for service supplier qualification.

4. Competence Assessment

4.1 For the Principal

Annual self-assessment during management review:

  1. Review the competence register for currency
  2. Identify any expired or expiring certificates
  3. Assess whether current competence matches planned work scope
  4. Identify training needs for the coming year
  5. Record in the Management Review Report (JDS-TMP-RPT-002)

4.2 For Sub-contractors and Collaborators

Before engaging a sub-contractor for quality-affecting work:

  1. Request evidence of relevant qualifications
  2. Verify certificates are current
  3. Record competence evidence in the project file
  4. Assign work within demonstrated competence scope
